biography
Ilene Kleinman was born in Brooklyn, NYC in 1947.
From an early age, she was constantly creating artwork.
Starting in her late teens, she began riding the train to Manhattan to study the artwork in the great museums there.
She furthered her studies by getting a BA and MA in Art Education from Brooklyn College, and then taught art to children in after school programs in New Jersey.
She is currently a sculptor as well as a abstract and still-life painter.
Ilene Kleinman lives in Philadelphia with her partner, Murray.
